Your St. Anthony’s annual rummage sale has been going on for over 37+ years, and each year it continues to exceed our goals and expectations, which are:
- Build Parish Community: In late June, our volunteer infrastructure team starts unloading our sheds to set up the tables and displays for our sale. Then, our volunteers start working in the hall in early July to receive, clean, and set up merchandise. They put hundreds of hours into service. The camaraderie it builds is outstanding. Together they make it work.
- Help our Novato Community: The four-day sale brings thousands of people to our church. Many of them are experiencing hardships, and the opportunity for them to buy much-needed goods at a reasonable price is priceless.
- Help the parish financially: We have earned hundreds of thousands of dollars over the last 5 years alone. These funds are restricted funds and can only be used for building and grounds improvements.
Our latest sale on August 6-9, 2026 grossed $55,533.76, an increase of 29.5% over last year . . . . way to go team. Also, important to note is that every year our volunteers decide how much, and to whom, they want to donate some proceeds to outside agencies. This year, St. Vincent de Paul and the Marin Pregnancy Clinic were the recipients.
Over the years, some of our shoppers and volunteers expressed that they felt such a sense of community here that they actually joined our parish. Also, we have some out-of-state shoppers who plan their vacations around our sale! They love the selection of merchandise and the exceptional value they receive. Some have even said it’s the best sale they’ve ever been to.
Before you know it, next year’s sale will sneak up on us. We are always looking for new volunteers to help. Whether it be a few hours or longer, your assistance will make a difference. It’s a great way to make new friends. If you are interested, please email Beth Livoti at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
