Corpus Christi SundayPodcast
by Fr Felix Lim
In the annals of history of Olympic track and field there have been great athletes like Carl Lewis and Usain Bolt. At the Barcelona Olympics in 1992, a little known American athlete named Derek Redmond attempted to make history in the 400 meter race . . .

Fathers DayPodcast
by Fr Felix Lim
Fathers' Day can be one of those bittersweet holidays: bitter for some, and sweet for others. My own father was a good man; a loving, hardworking, faithful provider, protector of his family, and a man of faith . . .

Pentecost Sunday- Dry BonesPodcast
by Fr Felix Lim
Come Alive, Dry Bones! Through the eyes of men it seems there's so much we have lost. As we look down the road where all the prodigals have walked. One by one the enemy has whispered lies and led them off as slaves. But we know that you are God. Yours is the victory . . .

Ascension SundayPodcast
by Fr Felix Lim
Of all the theological questions that I've been asked, perhaps the toughest question comes from first graders. "How can angels not have bodies and still get up in the morning?" How do you answer that? If you know how, do let me know after Mass. A question that all children are all intrigued about is: "Where do people go after they die?"

6th Sunday of EasterPodcast
by Fr Felix Lim
Whoever loves me will keep my word . . . Jesus is looking for hearts that will keep his word. Of course, he is not the only one. Many people will give us their word to keep: friends, spouses, coworkers. They give us their word of friendship, their word of love, their word of trust, their word of pledge and promise. These are people looking for hearts where they can speak, share and entrust their word without fear of ridicule or rejection. They're looking for hearts in which their word will be respected, reverenced, and treasured . . .

Fifth Sunday of EasterPodcast
by Fr Felix Lim
Imagine a world with no newspapers, no magazines, no books, no computers, no Internet, no social media, no cell phones . . . That's the world in which St Paul lived, in the first century. In that setting, over a span of about 10 years, St Paul set out on three missionary journeys, to preach the message of Jesus and spread the Christian faith.

Mothers' DayPodcast
by Fr Felix Lim
Mothers Day can mean so many different things to many of us and I am keenly aware of that. Some of us don't know who our biological mothers are. Some of us were left in a hospital unnamed and unwanted. Some children have mothers who failed to care for them . . .

Easter SundayPodcast
by Fr Felix Lim
On Monday, the world watched in horror, the sight of the Notre-Dame Cathedral in Paris engulfed in flames. The medieval Parisians had built such a beautiful cathedral for the sake of worship. They wanted a building as beautiful as the Virgin Mary in whom the Maker of all things had taken his rest. They wanted a building as beautiful as Mary, the living temple of God.

Fifth Sunday of LentPodcast
by Fr Felix
The fact that Jesus delayed going to Bethany for two days strikes me because I've known that same delay in my own life and I've certainly known it in your lives as well. How many times have we wondered, have we prayed, have we cried: Jesus, where are you?

Third Sunday of LentPodcast
by Fr Felix
As acute as our thirst for God might be, as exhausting as our journeys to God might seem, the yearning, the thirst that God has for us and the journey God makes into our hears surpass it all -- infinitely. Drink it in!

Ash WednesdayPodcast
by Fr Felix
Getting ashes doesn't mean we are holy. As a matter of fact getting ashes means we are not holy. Ashes are for sinners, for people like me who do the wrong thing: sometimes in small ways, and sometimes in big ways. Ashes are for people like me who screw up, who forget what's really important, who let things slide.

8th Sunday in Ordinary TimePodcast
by Fr Felix
We live in troubled times. Plenty of opportunity to judge others. We are legitimately angry about the myriad of problems affecting our nation and the Catholic Church.

7th Sunday in Ordinary TimePodcast
by Fr Felix
The Gospel today calls to mind a joke. A miserly man appeared before St Peter at the pearly gates. St Peter checked the man's records and said, "I'm sorry but there's nothing on your record that indicates love of neighbor nor helping the poor."

6th Sunday in Ordinary TimePodcast
by Fr Felix
Today is a good time for us: to see if the choices we make lead us to blessings or woe; to test the soil in which we have planted our hopes; to seek the flowing stream that truly quenches our hearts' thirst; to place afresh, our trust and our hope in the Lord.

3rd Sunday in Ordinary TimePodcast
by Fr Felix
Are we the skeptics? Or do we come to Mass hoping, expecting, trusting that God has a word, a blessing for each one of us? In the Scripture readings, in the music of our prayers, in the homilies you hear preached, and especially in the Sacrament of this altar, there are moments every week when the Lord says or does something just for YOU.

2nd Sunday in Ordinary TimePodcast
by Fr Felix
As we consider Jesus changing water into wine, we might ask ourselves three questions: First, do I trust that the Lord takes me as I am? Second, do I believe that God's not yet finished with me, that God's till sculpting me, whether I'm 8 or 80 years old? Third, will I ask the Lord to summon out of me the person he wants me to become?

Baptism of the LordPodcast
by Fr Felix
Who among us hasn't longed for and appreciated our own father's and mother's blessing? Who hasn't hoped for, waited for, looked for some word, some sign, some gesture of our parents' acceptance, approval and validation, of their love?

They went home by another way . . . . How about us? You and me? Christmas is just behind us, the feast when we, like the Magi, paid a visit to the Christ Child. What difference will that visit make in my life and yours this year?
